Diabetes Peer Support Group
Come and gain support on how to manage your diabetes.
There are approximately 3.9 million people in the UK living with diabetes and a further 900,000 who likely have it but haven’t yet been diagnosed bringing the total to 4.8 million.
ICAN service delivers peer support session across the borough, Alpha Care lead on delivering diabetes sessions.
If you have been diagnosed with diabetes or prediabetes, you may wonder how to manage you condition. Our monthly peer support group enables you to:
- Have a greater understanding on how to manage your condition,
- Meet other people
- Learn tips and coping strategies
- Enjoy gentle exercise sessions
- Visiting guest speakers with a range of topics
During our peer support groups we offer advice on nutrition, exercise, healthy living, and an opportunity to meet others with similar conditions.
