Trustee Opportunities

Age UK Enfield is the Borough’s leading charity supporting and enhancing the lives of older people. We passionately believe in improving the lives of older people by ensuring they are valued, active, connected and able to live the life they choose. We achieve this by providing a wide range of services and activities that are tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals and which will make a real difference to their wellbeing and quality of life.
Established nearly 40 years ago and part of the national Age UK network, we are an independent charity responsible for raising our own funds to provide these essential services for the older people of Enfield.
We are seeking a senior financial person to join the Board with the view to becoming the Treasurer at a later date - click here
We are also looking for several individuals who have experience in one or more of the following:
- senior charity/operational expertise especally where "paid for" services have been involved
- marketing and/or fund-raising
Local connections in, and a local connection with, Enfield, for example through local businesses, schools, faith groups and/or local government, would be desirable but not essential.
The time commitment is up to approximately 2 days per month on average but this may not be spaced evenly throughout the year and may come in ‘peaks and troughs’. It is vital that prospective trustees are available for AUKE Board and Sub-committee meetings which may take place during the working day or in the evenings.
While the Trustee roles are unremunerated, expenses will be paid. The term for a Trustee is 3 years.
How to apply
If you would like to apply, please send an expression of interest and a CV or professional profile in confidence to our CEO, Lesley King-Lewis, Lesley.KingLewis@ageukenfield.org.uk
AUKE welcomes applications from people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs and encourages applications from those from underrepresented groups. This will help us find the best candidates for these Trustee roles and people who can represent the needs of older people in Enfield.
