International Men's Day

This International Men's Day we are celebrating the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We are highlighting positive role models and raising awareness of men's well being.

 

We'd like to thank all of our male employees, trustees and volunteers that support our everyday business and smooth running of our organization. We really value all you do! At Age UK Enfield we have very positive examples of our work with local men, Our Shed's is a great example of building a community of likeminded individuals, our walks and talks give space to think and opportunity for leadership. Our Veterans services brought peers together to celebrate their contributions.

Our Digital Champions are leading to way and encourage peers to keep learning. 

 

November is also Movember and raises awareness of Men's Health. It's so important to check yourself and seek help. Movember - About Us - Our Cause & What We Stand For

 

Talking is important too, and we're so glad there more opportunities locally for men t talk about their feelings.

 

On 25^th November it is White Ribbon Awareness Day - where men influence other men and show their commitment to end violence against women and girls. Our very own Dave Hale, willl be leading this and there are white ribbons available for a small donation Learn about White Ribbon Day — White Ribbon UK
