UNDERSTANDING AND REDUCING THE RISK OF BOWEL CANCER
Bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early. As part of Bowel Cancer Awareness month (April), Age UK Enfield is holding a special event to raise understanding about this particular cancer and living healthily to reduce the risk of getting.
The full programme of activities includes talks, workshops and practical sessions providing reliable information about bowel cancer including symptoms, risk factors, screening, diagnosis, treatment and living with and beyond bowel cancer.
There will be exercises, a mind workshop, the opportunity to have blood pressure checks and learn about making smoothies as well as stands with useful information available that can be taken away.

Time: 10 am to 3 pm
Free lunch and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
The event is supported by NHS Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, Healthwatch, Screening Saves Lives, Macmillan Cancer Support, MIND in Enfield and Barnet, Enfield Wellbeing Network, Wigs for Heroes, Cuffley Manor Care Home, Maggie’s and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation – many of whom will have representatives attending.
