I was so lucky I listened to two ladies chatting on the bus and one of them was telling the other about the help and kindness the Age UK East Sussex charity had displayed to her and informed her friend to get in touch. Hearing this prompted me into finding out more about Age UK East Sussex for myself, a choice I will never regret, as I have several medical conditions, and I was seeking help in finding out what help was available to me.

This was my introduction to the kind staff at Age UK East Sussex who I can honestly say are angels without wings. Amongst other needed support I received from them, I had a large form to fill in regarding my claim for Attendance Allowance. I could never have managed filling this in on my own, but with a telephone appointment from their Information and Advice service I was guided through the pages, answering all the relevant questions with a very patient and understanding member of Age UK East Sussex. Thanks to them I now receive Attendance Allowance which has given me the financial independence and strength to live with my medical conditions.
