Meet Maxine one of our amazing Take Home and Settle Team who entered a pageant in February and won the title of 'Young European International Spokesmodel'

A few words from Maxine...

“The pageant system is called Young European International Pageant (YEMI). It is a system that promotes diversity and allows girls and women of all ages to get on stage, to show and build their confidence. However, pageants aren't all about being on stage, we also have the opportunity to share what we do in our communities in an interview with a panel of judges and in my case, to give a speech about the YEMI motto as well, which is 'Aspire to Inspire'. My speech was about how I aspire to inspire others by volunteering as a Home from Hospital Help for Age UK East Sussex. A role that I enjoy immensely, and have met some wonderful older people who indeed have inspired me”
