Our free Home Energy Check service helps people over 50 improve energy efficiency in their homes and reduce energy bills. Running from September 1st, 2023, until mid-March 2025, Home Energy Checks offer expert advice and simple energy-saving measures to ensure homes stay warm and efficient, especially during the colder months.

During a visit, our trained handyperson will discuss energy-saving tips and provide advice on reducing costs while maintaining a comfortable home environment. They can also install simple energy-efficient equipment, such as draught excluders around doors and windows, radiator foils, night lights, timer plugs, and energy-efficient light bulbs in fixtures and lamps.

Additionally, our team memeber can provide helpful resources on saving money and offer information on other services available through our organisation. They will also help eligible individuals sign up for the Priority Services Register (PSR), which provides alerts and support during power cuts, or guide them to register online if preferred.
