As a volunteer you could help improve the quality of life of people within your community.
What do Activities volunteers do?
Our community volunteers work with people to build their confidence and empower them to engage with their local community.
Activities Facilitator Volunteer
Here you will support the running of and facilitate activities and hobbies such as exercise, creative or learning sessions. This could be online, via Zoom, or in-person.
City Connections Roles
As a volunteer for City Connections you can support people in the Square Mile to access health and wellbeing services.
There are currently three roles; Community Engagement Volunteer, City Connections Friends Role and Activities Volunteer.
Community Engagement Volunteers help by supporting the City Connections team to raise awareness of and promote the service to residents and workers
City Connections Friends Volunteer help City residents to access and participate in activities and/events at locations across the Square Mile.
City Connections Activity Volunteers help by supporting the City Connections team to facilitate a range of weekly/fortnightly/monthly in person and/or online activity sessions and events.

What is expected of me?
Activities Facilitator Volunteers are expected to support and/or run activities either online or in-person for between 2-3 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
Energy Champion Volunteers are expected to complete a 6-week course (online) for 5 hours a week.
You will also be expected to attend a short training session and complete a DBS check and references.
