Location: Doncaster, hybrid working

Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week), Fixed-term

Salary: £23,920 (pro rata)

Age UK Doncaster is looking for an empathetic, detail-oriented Information & Advice Worker to support older adults through guidance on welfare, healthcare, and community resources. This maternity cover role is ideal for anyone looking to transition into a meaningful career, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Advice & Support: Offer practical advice on benefits, housing, and social care options to help clients make informed choices.
• Engage in the Community: Conduct home visits, provide in-person and virtual consultations, and partner with local organizations to ensure comprehensive support.
• Utilise IT Proficiency: Use Microsoft Office, Charity Log and our information systems to manage cases accurately and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills (familiarity with Microsoft Office is essential).
• A caring, patient approach, with experience in advice, social care, or customer service being an asset.
• Enthusiasm for learning and supporting older adults, especially if you’re considering a career change—our training will set you up for success.
