Walking Tennis Volunteer
This volunteer position supports our community activities. The role involves being the face of Age UK Devon supporting people attending our Walking Tennis programmes.
Where and When:
- Every Tuesday at Coburg Fields Tennis Courts, Coburg Terrace, Sidmouth, EX10 8NH from 11.00am until 12.30pm
- Every Thursday at Exmouth Tennis and Fitness Centre, Withycombe Village Road, Exmouth, EX8 3AE from 10.00am until 11.30am
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming players to sessions.
- Taking weekly register of attendance and payments.
- Asking players to complete any required paperwork.
- Introducing players to the coaches.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment.
- Reliability.
- Knowledge of tennis/walking tennis and/or gentle sport activities.
Our commitment to you:
- We will complete a volunteer induction with you providing information about Age UK Devon, the services we provide and full details of the volunteering role.
- A named person will be on hand to provide you with support.
- Any travel expenses you incur to fullfill the volunteering role.
- You will gain experience of working with older people and their carers.
- You will become apart of the Age UK Devon volunteering team, receiving our regular Volunteering eNewsletter and the opportunity to take part in events/celebrations for our volunteers.
