Walking Football Volunteer
This volunteer position supports our community activities. The role involves being the face of Age UK Devon supporting people attending our Walking Football sessions.
Where:
Devon FA Headquarters, Newton Abbot, TQ12 1EJ
When:
- Every Tuesday at 10.30am until 12 noon
- Every Friday at 12.30pm unti 1.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming players to sessions.
- Taking weekly register of attendance and payments.
- Asking players to complete any required paperwork.
- Leading sessions to include warm up, drills, matches and cool down.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of football/walking football and/or gentle sport activities
- Teamwork
- Reliability
- Leadership
Our commitment to you:
- We will complete a volunteer induction with you providing information about Age UK Devon, the services we provide and full details of the volunteering role.
- A named person will be on hand to provide you with support.
- Any travel expenses you incur to fullfill the volunteering role.
- You will gain experience of working with older people and their carers.
- You will become apart of the Age UK Devon volunteering team, receiving our regular Volunteering eNewsletter and the opportunity to take part in events/celebrations for our volunteers.
- Free participation at sessions.
