This volunteer position supports our community activities. The role involves being the face of Age UK Devon supporting people attending our Walking Football sessions.

Where: 

Devon FA Headquarters, Newton Abbot, TQ12 1EJ

When:

  • Every Tuesday at 10.30am until 12 noon
  • Every Friday at 12.30pm unti 1.30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming players to sessions.
  • Taking weekly register of attendance and payments.
  • Asking players to complete any required paperwork.
  • Leading sessions to include warm up, drills, matches and cool down.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of football/walking football and/or gentle sport activities
  • Teamwork
  • Reliability
  • Leadership

Our commitment to you:

  • We will complete a volunteer induction with you providing information about Age UK Devon, the services we provide and full details of the volunteering role.
  • A named person will be on hand to provide you with support. 
  • Any travel expenses you incur to fullfill the volunteering role.
  • You will gain experience of working with older people and their carers.
  • You will become apart of the Age UK Devon volunteering team, receiving our regular Volunteering eNewsletter and the opportunity to take part in events/celebrations for our volunteers.
  • Free participation at sessions.
