Be apart of Devon Clinical Commissioning Group's Citizen Panel

Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (DCCG) have recently begun the search for an independent chair to lead the integrated care system for Devon (ICSD) from April next year.

Integrated care systems are partnerships of health and care organisations, local government and the voluntary sector. They exist to improve population health, tackle health inequalities, enhance productivity and help the NHS support broader social and economic development.

DCCG are looking for candidates who will develop these systems and support the proposed establishment of each system’s new statutory arrangements.The successful candidate will lead a unitary board which will bring together leaders from across all parts of the NHS, local government, social care and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Appointments will be approved by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.

Understandably, the role is one of the most demanding non-executive positions there is – and it is vital for the development of our health and care system that they recruit the very best candidate. Public and patient voice, and the diversity of lived experience this brings, is vitally important to this appointment and DCCG are looking for representatives from our patient voices to be part of the citizen panel that will help them to select the right candidate.

They anticipate the process taking place on either 1^st or 2^nd September (however, this may be subject to change). Depending on the number of suitable candidates, DCCG may need your support for a whole day or it may be a only a few hours – this will be confirmed nearer the time.

To keep the process as safe as possible, panels and interviews will be held online, using Microsoft Teams.
