The Fairfield Older People's Group provides social support for local residents and access to services for the Fairfield Community of Buxton, Derbyshire.

What do we offer?
A social group meeting on Monday afternoons with social support and a variety of activities, talks and occasional outings.
Door-to-door transport to the social group held in a community setting in the centre of Fairfield.
Refreshments are provided.
Meeting most Monday afternoons throughout the year at St Nicolas’ Hall at Fairfield Centre, the current group of about a dozen ladies (gentlemen are welcome too) get together to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with biscuits or a slice of cake, whilst sharing local news and/or details of upcoming, local events.
What are the benefits?
- Older people feel less isolated and more engaged with their community
- Older people have contact with a wide variety of preventative information and support
- Older people have fun.
How do I use it?
Anyone can refer themselves or someone else to the older people's group. Referrals are also encouraged from social workers, GPs VCS agency, carers and relatives.
You will be contacted by telephone to discuss your needs and if appropriate welcome you to the group.
