Daffodil Project

We have been promoting the BBC Radio Derby Daffodil Project, giving everyone hope that spring is on it's way with new beginnings and better days to come.

 

The idea of sharing the project with our service users using a postcard came from the Strictly No Falling team of Jo, Lindsey and Emma.  This team also designed the card and got it printed for distribution.

 

Pease enjoy the the video project by Age UK Derby and Derbyshire, Chaddesden Park Lunch Club, Strictly No Falling and Memory Lane. The video has been put together to show some of the daffodil displays to the words of William Wordsworth's 'I wandered lonely as a cloud' poem.

 

Thanks to Jude Cliffman as always, for editing the brilliant displays of the post card and recordings.  Thanks to the volunteers and diners (who always step up to help) for reciting the poem and getting involved with photographs. It’s been a lovely way to finally look forward with hope.
