March 2025 Free Wills Month is here!
Age UK have partnered with Free Wills Month to give our supporters the opportunity to have a simple will written or updated for free.
What is Free Wills Month?
Age UK supporters who are 55 or over can have a simple Will written or updated for free by a participating solicitor.
Having an up-to-date Will is the best way to ensure your wishes are followed and your loved ones are looked after.
There's no obligation to leave a gift in your will to Age UK. However, after you've left something for your loved ones, a gift in your Will could one day make a huge difference to an older person’s life. It could be a lifeline for anyone who's struggling – from providing weekly friendship calls to older people to helping vulnerable people access the vital information, advice and services that they need. We hope you'll consider leaving a gift in your Will to Age UK.
How do I take part?
- Visit the Free Wills Month website and type in your postcode to find out which solicitors are taking part in your local area.
- Book an appointment directly with the solicitor during Free Wills Month.
- Consider leaving a gift in your will to Age UK Derby and Derbyshire.

How can I make the most of Free Wills Month?
- Appointments are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis, so we recommend you book with your chosen solicitor as soon as you can.
- Free Wills Month covers the cost of simple wills. If the will is more complex and needs additional work, the solicitor may ask you to pay the balance yourself.
