Age Cymru West Glamorgan are offering digital services to support older people and their families/carers in building their confidence online. This is open to anyone who would like to learn new digital skills.

In today’s increasingly digital society, being online can open up a wealth of opportunities and benefits, from:

  • Staying connected with loved ones
  • Shopping conveniently from home
  • Saving money on goods and services
  • Managing prescriptions and health information

The internet can feel overwhelming for many people due to a lack of confidence, skills, or experience. That’s where our digital inclusion service comes in. Our friendly, professional team and digital champion volunteers offer step by step support and can help with things like:

  • Using smartphones, tablets, laptops and smart speakers
  • Build confidence carrying out day-to-day activities online, including use of WhatsApp, Spotify and internet banking

There are many ways to experience the service, such as:

  • Drop-in digital classes in your community
  • Home visits – one to one digital support with your own devices at home
  • Loan scheme – The opportunity to borrow a tablet, laptop or smart speaker for up to 8 weeks
  • VR Wellbeing Events

Become a Digital Champion Volunteer

Interested in supporting older people to get online? Help them to navigate the internet to access online services, explore their hobbies, and improve their digital skills by offering 1-to-1 and group sessions.
