“I had the privilege of knowing Sharon since 2015, a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength who was steadfast in her commitment to Age Cymru West Glamorgan and those we support. Her unparalleled dedication spanned multiple facets of her work; from her uncompromising leadership during challenging times, to her unwavering support for her team and our clients.
“Sharon possessed a unique blend of empathy, positivity, and humour, which when coupled with her incredible knowledge in her field, made her an inspiring figure. She was a leader in the truest sense, lighting the way for others and caring deeply about the people she led. Sharon was dedicated, loyal, passionate, and always ready with a joke to lighten the mood.
“Her influence extended beyond the thousands of people she directly supported, touching countless lives through her tireless lobbying for better provision for older people and her relentless efforts with our Information and Advice service. Sharon was instrumental in transforming the service and the charity, ensuring clients received the time and help they needed. Her professionalism was only surpassed by her genuine care for the people we serve, often reaching them in a way that was nothing short of remarkable.
