End of Meal Delivery Service

We're sad to announce that our Home Cooked Meal Delivery Service is coming to an end. Last orders for the service will be taken on Friday 21^st May with last deliveries taking place on Friday 28^th May.

When the Coronavirus pandemic hit, we listened to what people needed and secured funding to adapt our services very quickly to help meet the needs of the people who needed us most. The funding we received to help clients who were struggling to access food during that time has now ended. However, we are now adapting our services to help people get their lives back on track as lockdown restrictions ease. Members of our team are available to offer advice and assistance to help people transition out of lockdown. The types of assistance we can offer ranges from helping clients to find suitable food provision and community groups or befriending opportunities to supporting carers to arrange respite or assisting clients to maintain their independence at home or helping them transition to more appropriate accommodation. As we now put our efforts towards delivering this new service, we can be very proud of what we achieved with the meal delivery service. When the pandemic hit, we listened to what people needed and secured funding to adapt our services very quickly to help meet the needs of the people who needed us most. Since launching at the end of March 2020, we have provided over 16,400 affordable hot meals to people in our community. We are incredibly grateful for the funding received from WCVA, Neath Port Talbot Council, Big Lottery Fund, the Martin Lewis Coronavirus Emergency Fund and Care and Repair Western Bay. 

We want to say THANK YOU to our our phenomenal employees and volunteers - you really stepped up during this period of difficulty and uncertainty, and we cannot thank you enough for all of your amazing hard work and effort. Without you, none of this could have happened - we're so proud of the incredible sense of community spirit and commitment you have all demonstrated throughout the last year, and it's been an honour to work together to help meet the needs of those who needed us most in our community.
