The Money MOT is a new service to help you take control of your money matters and improve your financial skills.
Whether you wish to improve your workplace numeracy skills, plan for retirement, increase your financial security, or just feel more confident with numbers, we're here to help you achieve your goals with flexible support in the way that suits you best.
What does the Money MOT offer?
Community-based Courses
Fun group courses on money management topics including numeracy skills for:
- Maximising income
- Reducing expenses
- Budgeting
- Comparing prices
- In the workplace
- Using technology
Drop-in Bitesize Workshops
Our Advisers are visiting venues across Powys to help you make the most of your money matters – pop in and see us with any questions.
1:1 Support Sessions
If you are unable to attend our courses or workshops, then we can visit you at home or by videocall / telephone / email to boost your financial skills.
Personalised Money MOT
We will help you assess your current financial situation and plan for the future. Your personalised report will tell you what to prioritise and offer guidance on how to improve your financial wellbeing from midlife through to retirement.
How much does the Money MOT cost?
The Money MOT service is free of charge.
Can you visit me at home?
Our Advisers can visit you at home or you can visit our office if you are unable to attend our courses / workshops.
Will I need to use any IT technology on the course?
No IT experience or equipment is required. We offer face-to-face courses which can be accessed online or paper-based, so we would love to hear from you.
