General
There are a number of confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus (Coronavirus) in the United Kingdom, and more cases are likely.

Current position on Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn’s services

We kindly request that everyone initially contacts us by phone or email and to not turn up to our offices in person.
- Y Cartref Bontnewydd Age Well Hub
From 4.30pm on Friday 20th March 2020, Y Cartref Bontnewydd will be closed to the public for the forseeable future. (All social activities will come to an end for the time being.)
All the charity's staff shall continue to work from the building and it shall be possible to contact staff only through telephone or email contact. (If you don't have the direct telephone or email details for the member(s) of staff you need to contact, then please telephone or email 01286 677 711 or info@acgm.co.uk)
Please do not turn up in person to Y Cartref Bontnewydd.
Meals in the Home Service from Caffi'r Cartref Bontnewydd
With increasing uncertainty of the situation and inevitably more self-isolation required for the foreseeable period, Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn will provide both a hot meal and frozen meal service (prepared from the Cartref Café) for local residents who are self-isolating. We will be able to transport these dishes to local communities. Contact us on 01286 677 711 or info@acgm.co.uk for more information about this service.
Llangefni Office (above the shop on the High Street)
Our Llangefni Office (above our shop on the High Street) is now closed to the public as a response to the coronavirus situation. We ask you not to turn up in person to the Llangefni office. You will still be able to contact us through telephone or email.
Home Care / Shopping Service
Our community care, meals at home and / or online shopping service continues to be available.
Clear instructions have been issued to all our Care Workers reminding them that they take all appropriate steps in accordance with Public Health Wales's instructions regarding hand washing before and after visiting a service user's home and also keeping clear of public areas and to self isolate if they show any symptoms of COVID19.
Brynsiencyn Shopping Scheme - postponed for the foreseeable future.
Cwrt Caernarfon Cafe
To remain open in accordance with guidance issued by Her Majesty's Courts.
Caffi Hafan Bangor
Will not be open.
Closed from 3pm Wednesday 18th March 2020 for the forseeable future.
Mens Shed Caernarfon
From 3pm on Thursday 19th March 2020, the Mens Shed will be closed for the forseeable future.
Shops Caernarfon, Llangefni, Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog and Cibyn Caernarfon Donations Sorting Unit
We confirm that we will be closing all our shops at the end of this afternoon (Friday 20th March 2020) for the forseeable future due to the coronavirus 19 situation.
Our Unit on Cibyn Industrial Estate Caernarfon (location of our Mens Shed and donations sorting area) is now also closed.

Age Well/Lunch Club Penygroes
The twice a week lunch club (Wednesdays and Fridays) has been postponed for the forseeable future.

Age Cymru is offering a check-in-and-chat telephone service for the over 70s in Wales who live alone from 23 March 2020.
