Donate your Christmas party
During December, we enjoy nothing more than to put on our glad rags, have a drink (or two) enjoy our office Christmas party and call a taxi to take us home. But what if those little things could bring about big changes for people who really need our support right now?
The emergence of Coronavirus this year has meant a rapid change of lifestyle for many of us with lockdown restrictions for our communities and significant numbers of older people shielding for prolonged periods. Together, we and our volunteers have worked hard to support older people through this challenging time. We've made more than 22,000 calls to older people through our Check in and Chat service and with the support of Welsh Government we've launched our telephone befriending service.
With your support, you can ensure we continue to be here for older people, now and in the future. Here's a few simple ideas.
- donate the amount you would have spent on your Christmas meal
- donate your drink. You can still enjoy your favourite tipple from home - you just donate what you’ve saved instead
- donate your taxi ride home
- donate the money you would have spent on a Secret Santa present for a colleague or friend.
