We smashed gift box appeal - thanks to you!

This festive season, Age Cymru Dyfed Christmas Elves were hard at work delivering shoeboxes and bags filled with love and thoughtful gifts as part of the 2024 Gift Box Appeal.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of individuals, groups, and businesses across our local communities in West Wales, we collected close to 100 gift boxes—an amazing result!

While these may seem like small gestures to some, the impact was profound. For many, these shoeboxes brought moments of joy and connection, with some recipients sharing that this was the only gift they received this Christmas.

Community Generosity in Action

A special thank you goes out to Day's Motor Group , who delivered an incredible 29 Christmas boxes! Their contributions will make a real difference to over-fifties in need across West Wales.

We’re also grateful to the talented choir group Côr Bytholwyrdd, who dropped off 24 beautifully prepared boxes at our Aberystwyth office—Diolch o galon!

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on this year’s successes, we are filled with gratitude for the kindness and support shown by our community. Together, we have made a real difference in the lives of those in need, bringing comfort and cheer during a challenging time of year.
