Case study
Check out how volunteer Lottie helped gain qualifications while working at one of our footcare clinics: How Volunteer Lottie Helped Age Cymru Dyfed
“My time at Age Cymru Dyfed was fantastic, I loved working with all of the clients and the team in Cardigan. Especially [the staff] Carol and Jane before she retired, I'm very grateful for all the experience and confidence the volunteering gave me over the year and a half I did it. It's a great service to offer, something widely missed in the healthcare system. I hope it continues as the need for it will always be there. Thanks again for everything.” (Charlotte Dunn)
How to get involved
Volunteering Manager at Age Cymru Dyfed, Lynne Meredith said,
“There is such a demand for this service we would love to expand our clinics across West Wales and recruit more volunteers to enable us to support more people with their footcare needs.
We would love to hear from anyone 18+ with either a nursing background or who is looking to gain skills in Health & Social care as a pathway to employment just like Lottie did. Support and full training will be provided.”
