Meet Rhiannon our New BLL Coordinator for Carmarthenshire
I’m the new befriending Life Links Carmarthenshire Coordinator at ACD.
Tell us a bit about yourself!
I’m married with a 4-year-old daughter. I love socialising, dancing, yoga, cycling, and generally being active. My passions are Travel, Music and Film. I’m a qualified Primary school teacher by trade and was an NVQ assessor for five years before starting this job. I’ve lived and taught abroad in Italy and Madrid in Spain. I once did a ski season in the Canadian Rockies in Banff 11 years ago.
How are you finding the new role at Age Cymru Dyfed?
I’m really enjoying the new BBL Coordinator role, it’s going to be really rewarding making a difference to the lives of the over fifties in West Wales. In the first few weeks there has been great support and guidance. The role for me is quite different to previous roles. I am looking into working with ‘The Goods Shed’ so I can set up a social group but I’m waiting to hear when they will be opening their coffee shop to the public.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re relaxing?
When I am not working, I enjoy exercising, meeting up with friends and keeping my daughter busy by visiting family and going on days out especially now it’s the summer holidays.
