Help change Christmas for older people who are feeling lonely. 

This Christmas, thousands of older people will be isolated, lonely and feeling forgotten. That’s why we’re calling on everyone to come together and fundraise for Age Cymru Dyfed so we can give comfort, friendship and joy to older people who need it most.

How your fundraising helps

Every penny you raise can help Age Cymru Dyfed provide the human connection that too many older people live without.

Last year, we helped Dyfed love later life in so many ways! From befriending and digital inclusion to mental health support and information and advice, plus £2.3m awarded in previously unclaimed welfare benefits!

Age Cymru Dyfed gets limited statutory funding. We believe it is vital our service is available to all who need it and that it offers free, confidential expert advice and home visits for people with mobility problems. Fundraising helps ensure we deliver work locally.

1. Host a festive bake sale - Serve up your finest festive treats and organise a bake sale with colleagues, family or friends.
2. Host a Christmassy quiz - Who can name all Santa's reindeer? Test your festive knowledge with a fundraising quiz!
3. Go for Christmas clobber - Organise a sponsored festive jumper day at work, school or with friends.
4. Get Behind Gift Box Appeal! Why not donate festive gift boxes for lonely older people across the area? Fill up old shoe boxes with gifts and use one of our three drop off points across West Wales.
5. Get on the Big Knit! - Join our army of wool warriers with their knitting needles and crochet hooks. Each hat knitted raises 30p.
6. Run a Festive Sweepstake - Guess how many sweets are in the jar or your own version of this - raise money doing a fun Age Cymru Dyfed Christmas Sweepstake!
