Information and Advice Volunteer
Make a difference by providing important information and advice to Croydon residents.
The Information and Advice(I&A) service is open to all adults over the age of 50 living in the London Borough of Croydon, including those with care and support needs, regardless of their health condition or disability, and their families, carers and professionals working with them. This role would suit those looking for a longer-term commitment. Hours are flexible.
We're recruiting for a number of Information and Advice related volunteer roles:
Telephone Helpline
Responsibilities: Answering queries and giving information and signposting support to people who call us on our busy telephone helpline.
Outreach Support
Responsibilities: Working alongside our Outreach Officer at the Community Hub - answering queries, assisting with form-filling and making phone calls.
Benefits Check / Form Filling
Responsibilities: Supporting Clients who come to our Brigstock Road office by appointment - filling in forms such as Attendance Allowance, Blue Badge and Taxicard, and / or offering welfare benefit checks.
