Volunteers’ Afternoon Tea

Age UK Croydon hosted an afternoon tea at Scratchley Hall to give a well deserved thanks to all of our volunteers, on Tuesday 3rd July.
Volunteers were served by staff members, who wanted to show their appreciation for their commitment and care over the past year, helping the organisation support those who benefit from our services. Volunteers were able to meet and mingle with other volunteers and staff, and enjoy a variety of sandwiches, cakes and beverages. Age UK Croydon hope to hold more of these events in future, as it was an excellent opportunity for everyone to meet and share stories and experiences. A short presentation was held and certificates were given out towards the end of the afternoon.
Laura James, Volunteer Programme Administrator at Age UK Croydon said, “It was a great afternoon and a privilege to host this event. The volunteers do an amazing job and it was a nice way to say thank you to them. People came away from the event saying that it was a lovely atmosphere and would love to do this again.”
Guests ranged from new newly inducted volunteers to those who have been with the organisation for 25 years. If you would like to join our team, please look at our current voluntary roles.
