Our charity has provided a Money Management service for over twenty years. The service enables us to support adults with managing their financial affairs when they lack capacity to do this themselves.
What support can this service offer?
The Money Management service is guided by the principles of the Mental Capacity Act: we involve our clients, their families and social workers in any decisions, and take into account the client interests, preferences and what they can afford.
Appointeeship
We take on a legal role to look after benefits and other income, pay bills and ensure our clients receive a regular supply of cash.
Welfare Visits
Our clients may also receive regular welfare visits so that we can try to identify other issues that may be arising.
Who can use the service?
Anyone who lives in Coventry.
Most referrals into this service are made directly by healthcare professionals but we do accept self-referrals
