Direct Payments

A direct payment is money paid by Coventry City Council or Warwickshire County Council, to enable you to arrange your own care and support services.

Direct Payments provide people with the opportunity to take greater control over the decisions that affect their lives and the flexibility to receive services that suit their individual needs. This serves as an alternative to having services provided by Coventry City or Warwickshire County Council. Some people prefer this, as it allows you to live more independently. However, it can mean taking on greater responsibilities, so knowing all about it is important.
