Our Chief Executive, Michael Garrett, writes letter to Local MPs

Chief Executive, Michael Garrett, has written to Coventry and Warwickshire MPs, asking to call on the chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, to use his spring budget to focus on the cost-of-living crisis for older people. The letter outlines how this crisis is still affecting many older people:

'In January 2024, 43% of people aged 60+ had cut back on heating or powering their home to make ends meet and 23% had cut back on food and groceries. Lots of our clients also describe having to cut back on time with friends and family...

'I would like to see that you have called on Jeremy Hunt before his March 6th Spring budget, asking him to use it as an opportunity to listen to the millions of older voters who feel unheard.'
