Our Chief Executive, Michael Garrett, writes letter to Local MPs

Our Chief Executive, Michael Garrett, has today, written to Coventry and Warwickshire MPs, seeking support on the ‘Spread The Warmth’ campaign for January 2024. The letter outlines the difficulties that older people face during the winter months; Colder temperatures result in increased loneliness and higher energy bills. Therefore, asking our local MP’s to share our message on social media, donate a coat as part of the campaign and encourage pension credit applications, along with sharing our benefits and winter advice guides.

‘Many of our clients dread wintertime and we are asking everyone in the community to help. 

As part of the campaign, we are asking people to give what they can – whether it is donating winter clothes to our charity shops or giving a financial gift to help keep our support services running. We provide a range of services, including our Information & Advice, Befriending, and Counselling Services.'
