BBC CWR Visits New Shop in Nuneaton For An Interview With Head of Retail

Published on 19 September 2024 03:29 PM

Head of Retail, Asher Deakin spoke with BBC CWR about why Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire chose Nuneaton as the location for their latest shop, the new Weigh & Pay system they've introduced and how the services the charity run benefit from the funds raised in the retail operation.

Asher also discussed with the reporter the importance of the volunteers, not only in this shop but all 14 shops that the charity has across the area. Asher invites anyone to give volunteering a go, it's a great way to learn new skills - even if you only commit to one hour a week. Volunteer today!

You can go back and listen to the interview on BBC Sounds from 1 hour and 49 minutes into the show (7.50am live time, Wednesday 18 September). Listen here!
