Ask your MP to protect the cap on care costs

Following the debate in the House of Lords which removed the Governments proposed changes to the cap on social care costs, the Health and Care Bill is returning to the House of Commons tomorrow (Wednesday 30 March).
The proposed changes will make the cap far less accessible to many older people and the Government may try to bring these changes back when voting takes place again tomorrow.
Age UK are asking for campaigners and supporters to write to their MPs to explain just how unfair and regressive these changes would be and to encourage them to vote against the changes.
Under the proposed Government changes, 4 out of 5 older people will see no benefit at all from the cap on social care costs. We need our MPs to protect the cap – write to your MP ahead of the vote in the House of Commons on Wednesday.
