Big thanks to our smoothie hat knitters

Our volunteer knitters have been helping with the Big Knit campaign organised by the national Age UK charity with the Innocent Smoothie campaign.

Every year, they knit lots and lots of colourful little pompom hats that are then added to Innocent Smoothie bottled drinks for sale in supermarkets etc. As a participant in this campaign, we receive 25p for every knitted hat we send to Innocent Smoothie.

This year, we have already sent over 14,000 hats and our knitters are still busy knitting more.  

On Monday, Elsie called in to Houghton House with 1200 beautifully knitted hats - isn't that amazing!
