Part-time Care Assistant
Reports to: Day Centre Manager
Place of Work: St. Austell Day Centre
Salary: £7.83 per hour
Hours of Work: Tuesdays – 6 hours’ minimum

About the role:
Working in the St Austell Day Services you will ensure that our client’s wellbeing is paramount at all times. You will:
- Provide care as needed during the day, including personal care
- Complete and review client assessments (in the centre and in client homes)
- Complete and review care plans and risk assessments
- Escort clients to and from the centre
- Engage with our clients in the planning and development of holistic and stimulating day activities
- Ensure a warm and friendly environment
About you:
You will enjoy meeting new people, be confident and outgoing and like helping others. You will be motivated by making a real difference to the quality of people’s lives. You will be flexible to cover in other day services as needed, and you will need to be able to travel independently to these venues.
You will need a warm and caring personality, and a willingness to learn. Experience of giving care and an NVQ in care is useful but not essential.
