Community Hub Volunteers

We are searching for caring and passionate volunteers to join Govenek Community Hub (Newquay) and Falmouth Community Hub - find out more here or by contacting Donna at 01637 876150 (Govenek) or Lucy at 01326 316880 (Falmouth)

The role

We run a wide range of activities, clubs and support groups from our Community Hubs. We are searching for volunteers to help and assist during the social group sessions. In this role, you will interact with clients, help and support the group lead, assist in setting the room up and making refreshments. 

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting local communities and making a difference. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a caring nature, have good organisational skills and be a good listener.

When:

The Day Centre opening times are - Monday to Friday (0900-1600)

Additional information

Please provide any information you think will help us when recruiting for this volunteer role eg. Any skills, experience, hobbies, or training that might be useful/required.

Full training will be provided, which includes: Safeguarding, Lone Working, Data Protection, Dementia Friends Support and Digital training modules. Please note that an Enhanced DBS Certificate and suitable references are a requirement of this role (we will guide you through these processes).
