Carers Group Lead Volunteer - Govenek

We are searching for caring and passionate volunteers to join Govenek Active Living Hub (Newquay).

The role

We run an interesting, helpful and informative Carers Group. We are searching for a coordinator to lead the group, arrange talks, demos and sessions. You will also be responsible for evaluating the needs & wishes of Carers and sourcing workshops, events and activities for Carers to attend.

This role is perfect for someone who is outgoing, confident and passionate about supporting local communities. To be successful in this role, you will need good listening and organisation skills, be patient and understanding.

When:

The Day Centre opening times are - Monday to Friday (0900-1600)

Additional information

Full training will be provided, which includes: Safeguarding, Lone Working, Data Protection, Dementia Friends Support and Digital training modules. Please note that an Enhanced DBS Certificate and suitable references are a requirement of this role (we will guide you through these processes).

You will be required to wear PPE at all times and be willing to undertake regular LFT and PCR testing, in line with our policies.
