Important Update | Cornwall Link | 1st March 2023
Age UK Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly have managed and grown the Cornwall Link website since it was launched in 2017. We have worked continuously to increase membership and listings (entries) playing a pivotal role in providing health and well-being-related information, useful tips and advice, particularly during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We have helped to grow the community with over 1,700 members and nearly 800 active listings."
We are reviewing how our services will operate post-pandemic and in response to changes in health and social care, which has already seen the introduction of the new collaborative Gateway service. It means we have made the difficult decision not to continue hosting Cornwall Link after 31 March 2023. We have informed Made Open, who provide the technical essentials underpinning Cornwall Link, without whose support it would not have been possible. We welcome, and encourage, the discussions underway to establish if another organisation would like to continue with the operation of Cornwall Link. We cannot guarantee that will happen but will definitely help in any way we can. If the opportunity to run Cornwall Link is something you are interested in, please do get in touch with us. Please be assured we continue to approve listings, and encourage organisations and individuals to promote themselves, their volunteer opportunities and events. Cornwall Link will continue to offer support until the end of March 2023. Thank you for all your support and use of Cornwall Link making it the community platform FOR the community. You can contact Cornwall Link by visiting the website here or email:
