Join City of London’s leading organisation for older people
Age UK City of London (AUKCOL) is the charity for older people who live, work, study or volunteer in the square mile. Our focus is on enhancing wellbeing and building social connections so that people can enjoy growing older in this amazing city. Each year, AUKCOL helps hundreds of older people to maintain an active independent life, develop new friends and interests, and make the most of living in the heart of London.
We are looking for a Trustee with relevant skills or lived experience to join our friendly and engaged Board of Trustees and take an active part in the strategic direction and decision-making of Age UK City of London. Experience of governance work, the charity sector and working with and for older people is desirable.
We are committed to a Board that reflects the population of City of London and particularly welcome applications from people of colour or any BAME background, people who identify as LGBTQ+, people with disabilities or mental health conditions, all socio-economic brackets, career stages or educational backgrounds.
- We welcome applications from all age groups.
- Previous Board or Trustee experience is not a prerequisite as we will offer support to help de-mystify any questions about Trusteeship.
- Time Commitment: 6 Board meetings a year plus attendance at activities.
