Celebrating Sustainable Fashion Week

As part of Sustainable Fashion Week, members of our Knit and Natter group collaborated with Age UK Camden Charity Boutique and up-cycled pieces that were donated to the boutique for a Style Showcase at the University Women’s Club in Mayfair.

With 65 guests in attendance and 7 models from the community, it was a fantastic evening that highlighted the importance of shopping sustainably and showcased how fashion has no boundaries – or age limits!

All the items in the showcase had been donated, and some key pieces were upcycled by the Age UK Camden Retail Team and volunteers.

Lucinda Martin, member of our Knit and Natter Group transformed a donated fedora into a hand-beaded milky way universe, modelled by Dr Nadya, which sold for a whopping £85!

Clothes that were donated and not sold on the night are now for sale in Age UK Camden's Charity Boutique on 53 Leather Lane. Pop along on Monday-Friday between 10am – 3pm!
