Nicola Hands

We are delighted to bring you another wonderful lunchtime recital. Please make a cup of tea, get comfortable and enjoy some beautiful music with us. This week we are joined by the talented Nicola Hands.

Nicola Hands graduated from the Royal Academy of Music Masters programme in 2013 with a Distinction in oboe and cor anglais performance, having won the oboe and cor anglais prizes there. She was principal cor anglais with the Orquestra do Norte and the oboe/cor anglais player for The Light Princess at the National Theatre, and has played with the Philharmonia, RSNO, Birmingham Ballet and Orpheus Sinfonia as a freelancer. She is also very active as a soloist and chamber musician, having performed numerous concertos and recitals. Last year she founded the Tailleferre Ensemble and in January this year released her first album, Light & Shade.
