Photographic Exhibition

We are proud to announce a multimedia photographic exhibition featuring powerful images which recognises Camden's community response to the coronavirus outbreak.  

The narrative and images in the exhibition focus on the local people who made this response possible; including those from our organisation who put themselves at risk every day for the good of others tosource and pack essential provisions for those who were unable to source get for themselves, the delivery drivers and those making regular phone calls and caring for older people shielding at home. We are very proud to display these achievements through a gallery of such impactful imagery. 

The exhibition features photographs taken by award-winning photographer, Julian Claxton, capturing Age UK Camden’s emergency response at the outset of the pandemic. Julian says:

“The passion, commitment, and incredibly strong work ethic of all involved meant the team really stepped up when vulnerable people desperately needed help. Using imagery, this exhibition tells the story of the organisation, the people and the passion for providing services for older people, as well as the struggles and emotions experienced in such a challenging environment.” 

Our emergency response to the pandemic was made possible thanks to the incredible response from the public. This public exhibition brings the images to the community to show our gratitude and to recognise everyone's efforts in those initial difficult months. 

Held at Samsung KX, Coal Drops Yard, King's Cross from 28th September to 3rd October, 11am to 6pm, the exhibition is free and open to all
