Camden Council has homes available in their sheltered housing schemes across the borough
If you know someone who could benefit from being supported to live independently, then sheltered housing in Camden could be for them.
Sheltered housing offers|:
- A secure tenancy with your own front door.
- A home that is safe and well maintained.
- The option to socialise with neighbours (and stay in when you feel like it)
- The opportunity to live life as you do now, knowing there's help if you need it
Covid-19 and Camden Council's sheltered schemes
The last 12 months have been different for everyone, but in Camden Council's sheltered schemes the safety of their tenants always comes first. In March we, worked with Camden Council to quickly reduce the number of people coming into their schemes and to increase their cleaning rounds and as a result, Camden has had very few cases of coronavirus in their sheltered housing schemes. Their sheltered housing managers are available during the week and regularly check in to make sure that residents have shopping, medicine and everything they need, and all sheltered tenants have a Careline cord that they can pull 24/7 if they ever need help.
Camden has has been focusing on keeping their sheltered tenants in touch and entertained, with musical performances in gardens in the summer and online meetings and support groups now that it’s colder.
If sheltered housing in Camden sounds like it might be for you or someone you know and you would like to find out more, please get in touch with Camden Council. They have COVID-19 safe ways of viewing homes, including by video.
