To mark the end of Ramadan, we hosted a special Eid event at our Great Croft Day Care Centre which truly reflected the spirit of community cohesion and integration.
The event, kindly funded by Camden Council, featured delicious food and speeches that celebrated the inclusivity, understanding, and community spirit within our diverse borough.
It brought together over 85 people including King’s Cross residents, members of the local mosque, colleagues from KCBNA, and notable individuals in our area including leader of Camden Council Richard Olszewski, King’s Cross Ward councillor Liam Martin-Lane, and London Assembly Member Anne Clarke.
Everyone had a wonderful time, and it was heartwarming to see people from different backgrounds and walks of life coming together to celebrate.
We also received a hand-delivered letter from the Prime Minister, wishing Eid Mubarak and sending best wishes to everyone at Age UK Camden which was a touching gesture that added to the joy of the day.
The weather was perfect, the atmosphere vibrant. It was truly a remarkable celebration of unity and inclusion.
