Stone Soup: a new podcast by Age UK Camden.

The name 'Stone Soup' is inspired by the European folk story, in which hungry strangers convince the people of a town to each share a small amount of their food to make a meal. It teaches the value of cooperation and sharing, and the moral that more can be accomplished when people work together.

Covering five episodes, we hear from Camden resident Fran Hazleton, licensee of the historic Dublin Castle pub Henry Conlon, Local Studies and Archives Manager Tudor Allen, Age UK Camden Trustee Alison Kelly, and Camden resident and long-time volunteer Constantine Louis. Each episode is a heartfelt conversation that captures the essence of human connection and highlights the importance of community and kindness.

From work and trusteeship to cherished memories, these stories showcase the wisdom, strength, and contributions of Camden’s residents – and how we’re all better off when we work together.

It’s more than just a collection of stories; it’s a celebration of the human spirit and the power of community. Each episode offers a unique glimpse into the lives of Camden’s residents, reflecting the diversity and richness of the area. Whether you’re a local or someone interested in community stories, we invite you to listen and reflect on the stories that make Camden a truly special place to live.

The podcast is available to listen on SpotifyYouTube, Amazon Music, and Audible or search 'Stone Soup Age UK Camden' wherever you get your podcasts.
