Ralph managed to raise an amazing £1000 for our charity!
Ralph Minter has taken up the challenge of the Cambridge Half Marathon on March 3, 2024, to raise funds for Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (Age UK CAP). The annual Cambridge Half Marathon is set to host over 12,000 runners this year, and Ralph is determined to make every stride count in support of a cause close to his heart.
Ralph's inspiration came from a recent visit by Age UK CAP to his workplace. Learning about the remarkable variety and impact of the organisation's work in supporting older people, Ralph felt compelled to contribute in a meaningful way.
"I find the work Age UK CAP does to support older people incredible. Their impact is immeasurable, and I want to do my part to help raise funds for their cause," says Ralph.
Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is a lifeline for many in the community, supporting approximately 2,000 individuals each week. Notably, 80% of the beneficiaries are over the age of 75. The organisation has facilitated grants and benefits totaling an impressive £2.8 million for people in the region.
Expressing his amazement at the organisation's accomplishments, Ralph emphasised, "You cannot put a figure on the positive impact Age UK CAP is having on the lives of older people."
We extend an invitation to everyone to join Ralph in making a difference. whether you want to walk, run, bake, or even jump out of a plane, we welcome all creative fundraising ideas. We are ready to support and guide individuals who wish to contribute to their cause.
