Published on 29 May 2024 12:00 PM

This year Volunteers' Week is from 3rd June to 9th June. This week is all about appreciating the hard work, dedication, and impact of volunteers who generously give their time to support communities and causes they care about.

At Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, we are incredibly grateful for our volunteers, whose efforts are crucial in helping us support older people in our community. From providing companionship to organising Friendship Clubs, our volunteers make a significant difference in the lives of many.

What is Volunteers' Week?

Volunteers' Week is a national celebration that highlights the amazing work done by volunteers throughout the year. It is a chance to thank volunteers, acknowledge their contributions, and encourage more people to get involved.

This volunteers week we will be thanking our volunteers on our social media and sharing quotes from our volunteers and the service users they support. Showing what a difference they make in the lives of older people.
