The Big Knit 2024

We’re delighted to announce the Big Knit is back for 2024! So grab your needles and your brightest yarn and get knitting for Age UK to help us be there for older people who have no one else to turn to.

Since the Big Knit began back in 2003, knitters have helped raise over £3 million for Age UK and our vital work.

How to get involed:

• Knit a hat or two
• Drop off your hats with your local Age UK
• If you are unable to make it to one of our sites, please contact us and we can arrange to collect your wonderful creations from your home.
• We'll send your hats to Innocent Smoothies
• Every bottle sold with one of your hats on raises money for your local Age UK
• This money helps us continue to support older people in Calderdale & Kirklees.

Want to get involved with the campaign, but don't want to knit?

• You can donate wool to our shop in Halifax to help support our knitters.
• Share our campaign with friends and family. The more people we can get involved, the more money we can raise.
