Could your employer help support our local work?

Tasha secured additional support for Joe's Festive Fundraiser!

Do you/ a member of your family work for an organisation that has a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme or a maybe a Charity-of-the-Year?

Tasha recently raised an additional £250 for Bromsgrove Men in Sheds through her company’s matched giving scheme.

‘As Joe's daughter, I understand how much my dad cherishes Bromsgrove Men In Sheds and the sense of community it brings, so I was keen to find ways to support Age UK BRWF in raising funds for the Shed’s upkeep. In addition to participating in Dad's festive sale, I explored other avenues to contribute.

Working at a corporate company with a matched giving scheme presented a fantastic opportunity—employees can request matched donations for their volunteering efforts. The process was incredibly simple and quick! Once I located forms on our corporate portal, I completed them and secured £250 in matched funds, with the help of an event letter provided by Age UK BRWF to support the application.

I’d strongly encourage others to consider similar charitable events, such as runs, walks, or sales, that could be sponsored by their family members' employers. These initiatives can generate valuable funds to help sustain the vital work of Age UK BRWF!’

In addition to fundraising, there are other ways that organisations can provide support, such as allowing their employee to donating their time and/or sharing their expertise.
