Celebrating Matchborough Shop Re-opening

Whilst everybody was awaiting the Opening Ceremony in Paris, on Friday 26th July 2024 we held our own special ‘Get Together’ to celebrate the re-opening of our Matchborough Way Charity Shop (Redditch), after the shop being closed for over eight months for the completion of necessary building work.
At the event, Age UK BRWF’s CEO, Amanda Allen, thanked Age UK BRWF’s Matchborough team for all their hard work to get the shop ready for re-opening and members of the community for their continued support!
The event was attended by the new Chair of Age UK BRWF’s Board, Jonathan Shapiro, and fellow Trustee Derek Willams along with local Councillors Jane Spilsbury and James Fardoe.
With its Retail operations key to raising funds to support the charity’s local work (including its free Information & Advice and Befriending services), this is a very much-welcomed re-opening, and Age UK BRWF is looking forward to soon announcing an opening date for its new Charity Shop in Winyates (Redditch).
